This module uses a LASER as a transmitter and a phototransistor as a receiver. The beam emitted by the transmitter is reflected on the front surface and affects the lens (serves to concentrate reflected light on the phototransistor) of the receiver, sending the phototransistor into operation. The receiver only detects the reflected light emitted by the LASER, preventing disturbances from other light sources. This module can be used to detect obstacles, such as pieces counter, etc.
