Compact general-purpose module with MCP39F511 Microchip and the electronics necessary for its correct operation. Thanks to this innovative module it will be possible to analyze the parameters of the electricity grid and consumption thus allowing to realize different applications such as "load disconnection" or analyzer. The Microchip MCP39F511 chip is equipped with two delta / sigma digital analog converters, which allow instantaneous voltage and current measurements to be carried out and the relative electrical powers to be calculated. To be galvanically isolated from the 230VAC network it is necessary to interface the A / D converter of the module to a voltage transformer for electrical measurements (TV - see related products) and a current transformer for electrical measurements (TA - see related products).
The module is supplied ready to use and already calibrated for TV and TA commercialized by Futura Elettronica. It is possible to use other transformers, but it is necessary to recalibrate the module. For this the CN1 connector is available to which the USB / TTL converter can be connected (FT782M - see related products). The connector provides the RX and TX signals of the serial as well as the + 5V and GND power supply. It is also equipped with a voltage regulator MCP1801T-3302I (typical drop-out of 200mV to 100mA) to generate the necessary voltage of + 3.3V to power the MCP39F511 chip.
The three LEDs present have these functions: the green LED LD1 is connected to the EVT1 line (EVENT1) and the yellow LD2 LED is connected to the EVT2 line (EVENT2) so depending on how the MCP39F511 is programmed, we will be able to report on these LEDs some information regarding the events occurring during operation (for example a power threshold or other exceeding), finally the red LED LD3 indicates the presence of power supply.
