The FT1369 educational board is designed to test and develop applications with Raspberry Pi (Raspberry Pi 2B, Raspberry Pi 3B and Raspberry Pi 3B +), which integrate with the real world. It has a 40-pin connector through to connect with Raspberry Pi; interface connector with 8 inputs / outputs, 3.3V power supply, SPI connector, I2C connector, connector for connecting a 16x2 LCD display, four user-controllable LEDs, four buttons, connector for connecting external digital devices such as relay boards and eight-way dip switches.

Among the accessories (not included , see related products) you will find the LCD module and the Mix Board multifunction module, which allows you to connect various sensors and accessories, including a temperature gauge, a joystick and a buzzer. You can connect and use an I / O expansion module and a relay module.

Features

  1. 40 pin connector for connection with Raspberry Pi
  2. Interface connector with 8 inputs/outputs, 3.3V power supply, and ground. Streamlines the connection of digital devices, buttons and/or pre-packaged modules such as the level conversion board, the Mix Board, etc.
  3. SPI connector. Simplifies the connection to external modules and peripherals that use the SPI bus
  4. I2C connector. Simplifies the connection to external modules and peripherals using the I2C bus, such as input / output expansion cards, ADC and DAC converters, sensors with I2C interface, etc.
  5. Connector for connecting an LCD display with characters like the typical 16x2
  6. Four LED manageable by the user
  7. Four buttons manageable by the user
  8. Connector for connecting external digital devices such as the relay board
  9. 8-way dip switch
  10. Potentiometer for adjusting the light intensity of the LCD display (type LCD1602)

Work configurations

  1. The LCD1602 display it will allow us to communicate information from Raspberry Pi on the execution of the educational programs
  2. The Mix Board board which has a buzzer and a small joystick on board and can simultaneously connect a temperature sensor and an infrared remote control receiver. The management of the configuration pins offers different combinations of use between buttons; LEDs and external devices such as the relay board
  3. The expansion board with the PCF8574 on board which to expand the Raspberry GPIO with ere il GPIO di Raspberry with eight other digital I/O.
  4. The relay board, as the first example of an interface with external actuators.

Note: always remember that the pins of the Raspberry Pi GPIO must be driven with a maximum voltage of 3.3V. Please don’t apply 5V or higher. If you want to connect devices that work at higher voltages, such as an Arduino Uno, it is necessary to interpose the level conversion circuits, otherwise the final putting out of the use of Raspberry Pi.
