Enter this URL "http://arduino.esp8266.com/stable/package_esp8266com_index.json" in the lower text box of the window ("Additional URL for the card manager"). Click OK to continue. After doing this first step we can install the card, clicking from the main screen of the IDE "Tools> Card> Card Manager ..." will open the window "Card Manager" |
At this point in the "Filter the search" bar, type "esp8266", if you have done the previous steps correctly you will find the option "Install" available. (It is recommended to install the latest version available). After installing the card (about 150 MB) you can switch to the configuration. In the IDE main screen, click "Tools> Card> NodeMCU 1.0 (ESP-12E Module). Click again on "Tools> Upload Speed> 115200". After doing this you will have finished the configuration and installation of the card and you are ready to program! |
