Based on the ESP03 Wi-Fi module, this small and compact board (in Kit), allows you to detect the environmental parameters (of a room or a place in your home or any other kind of building) and publishes the data on Cloud. It can work for years, powered by two simple stylus batteries, without the need for power outlets.

It can be used for example to know if the environment where you store the pellets for your stove respects the required characteristics of temperature and humidity, or if the food storage where you put some food products is really a "cool and dry place" or, again, if your wine cellar has the right temperature and humidity.

Well in all these cases it could make you comfortable to visualize on the smartphone all the necessary parameters, even when you are away from home. To function it is necessary to have a Wi-Fi signal with Internet access. The data collected in the field will be sent to an online cloud wirelessly. The cloud aims to collect and store the data sent and to represent it in an easily analysable format, such as a graph. If the signal of your Wi-Fi network is sufficiently powerful, you can place the circuit just outside the home and use it as a real weather station.

The board is prepared for the insertion of two male strips so that it can be used on a breadboard for experiments, the format is compatible with the Arduino MKR boards.

Programming requires an external USB-Serial converter such as code 1686-USBTOUART (not included - see related products). Alternatively any other USB to UART converter (even those with four pins) will be fine as the DTR and CTS pins are not used.
If you want to program the module using the Arduino IDE, you need to enable the module for programming.

N.B. To allow everyone an easy realization, the PCB is double-side and no SMD components are used, except for the ESP module.
