Based on the chip RF transceiver MRF24J40MA and compatible with the IEEE 802.15.4 2.4 GHz, this shield allows Arduino to communicate wirelessly. The shield has a relay output and an input opto-coupled that allow to interact with the outside world. This project comes in kit. Some components have to be soldered to the included PCB.

Arduino library MRF24J40
|
The MRF24J40 libraries for Arduino that we chose, we offer some basic functions of the wireless network and related communication configuration. There are no the same MiApp Microchip functionality, but at least there are all those necessary for setting up a WiFi network, target nodes and allow the exchange of data between them. The library provides an object called Mrf24j to be used for the complete management of the WiFi stack. The object's constructor requires as input the number of the Arduino pin to be used for reset, chip select and interrupt the radio module (SPI is the default port used for the Arduino Board, located at pins 11, 12 and 13, at least for the Arduino Uno). There is a reset function which, through the previously defined reset pin, resets the chip (good thing would always reset the hardware when the software) and a Init (to be called after Reset) that initializes the SPI port of communication and the base of the radio module registers. |
