Keep social distancing with an audible and optical signal that warns us when we are getting too close to the counter of a shop, a kiosk or a desk. The kit consists of a screen-printed plexiglass panel, a perforated container and all the electronic components to be wired.

The device is based on a tiny Arduino-compatible board called μchip, which reads the distance signal provided by a small SONAR module and based on the result composes a chromatic combination in a data string that it sends to the NeoPixel strip at the base of a plexiglass plate, which is entrusted with the task of viewer. If the distance signal indicates insufficient space (less than 100 cm), it also drives a buzzer that emits an acoustic alarm, while the NeoPixel LEDs produce red light, otherwise where the distance is considered sufficiently high (greater than 120 cm) the buzzer remains at rest and the RGB LED strip composes the green light. There is a third threshold that causes the RGB led of the strip to turn yellow when the distance is greater than 100 cm and less than 120 cm.

The writing on the panel can be translated into the desired language.
